Yannis Georgellis Professor, Global MBA and MSc Global Business

Professor Georgellis joined SP Jain London School of Management from Kent Business School, where he served as Deputy Dean for Research and Enterprise Professor Georgellis is an experienced educator and leader celebrated for his work on happiness, adaptation, and employee well-being His publications cover areas of human resource management, organisational behaviour, applied psychology and behavioural economics and have attracted several thousand citations in Google Scholar He is also a top 5% author in the REPEC worldwide citation rankings Yannis is a Distinguished Associate of the International Atlantic Economic Society (IAES).

Professor Mary Stuart has had a long career in Higher Education covering most academic roles spending 15 years at the University of Sussex before moving to being Deputy Vice Chancellor at Kingston University in London before moving to being Vice Chancellor at the University of Lincoln, UK, where she led the transformation of the institution from 2009 to 2021 Alongside her leadership experience Mary has a long track record of researching and writing about Higher Education She is now also a Vice Chancellor’s Fellow at La Trobe University, in Australia, Visiting Professor at the University of Sussex, a member of the Advisory Board of the Higher Education Policy Institute and is a Director of the UPP Foundation and of the National Centre for Entrepreneurial Education

In an increasingly digital world, Big data analytics has changed how business organisations identify trends, challenges and new opportunities. The SP Jain global experience goes beyond the four walls of the classroom In each of the cities, students participate in structure global immersion activities that expose them to regional business practices, political beliefs and cultures


For example, during the exchange to Dubai, students visit the Burj Khalifa to understand the planning that went behind its construction In Singapore, they go on back office tours of the world’s most expensive and standalone casino in the Marina Bay Sands to observe and study its revenue model A similar cultural immersion programme will be available in London

This is a standout feature of the multicampus learning model as it helps students truly soak in diverse cultures and emerge as knowledgeable and culturally rich graduates

Hands-on project experience

Regional Immersion Projects (RIPs)

Self-directed RIPs help you develop and maintain a professional portfolio through teamwork and collaboration with a designated mentor During the project, you will identify suitable frameworks, models, and research approaches to address challenges within the contemporary global/regional business environment

Capstone Project

Your learning culminates with a Capstone Project (either an Action Learning or Entrepreneurship Project), where acquired knowledge and skills are applied in a real-world setting


The Action Learning Project option involves applying your knowledge and skills to deliver a written report and presentation on a real-world company problem An Entrepreneurship Project applies the same skill sets to solving a consumer problem or need, with a view to launching your own business

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Step 1

Eligibility

All applicants are expected to be predicted or have achieved 120 UCAS Tariff Points, equivalent to:

  • A-levels: BBB or equivalent
  • BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma: DDM
  • UCAS Tariff Points: 120
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB): 30
  • BDS only: Mathematics is required

In addition to the above: Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Grade C / 4 or higher for English and Maths

Applicant shortlists are based on the following criteria:

  • Your personal statement which describes how the programme meets your career aspirations
  • If applicable, English language proficiency score

Personal Interview

If shortlisted, you will be invited to an interview with members of our academic staff, either online, at SPJ London, or at any SP Jain Global campus

Step 5

Outcome

The Admissions Office will notify you of the outcome of your application within 14 working days of your interview

Academic Merit Scholarship

To encourage high calibre applicants, we provide individual scholarships, which may be up to full fees, to qualified applicants based on academic merit and interview performance These scholarships are designed to support students’ academic endeavours and future professional paths

  • They are granted through a candidate-specific review process
  • They can be taken as a tuition fee discount or as maintenance support through cash instalments
  • They are subject to meeting the grades outlined in your offer letter where required
  • They are conditional upon recipients maintaining a required level of performance each academic year and abide by SPJ London’s Code of Conduct

Scholarship decisions are taken at the sole discretion of SPJ London

Financial aid and assistance

Bursaries are available for UK students from lower-income households and students under 25 who have experienced the care system
A hardship fund is available by application to support any student experiencing financial difficulty during their studies

Student Finance

Home students starting their first undergraduate degree may be eligible to apply for a full tuition fee loan and a maintenance loan

We believe travel provides valuable academic, personal and professional opportunities, and are committed to helping students make the most of their undergraduate experience

To assist with this, we offer all UK students who enrol and undertake semesters at SP Jain Global’s Sydney, Singapore or Dubai campuses travel bursaries of up to £8,000 (BBA students) and £3,000 (BDS and BMT students)
