Finance

  • UK Home students can receive up to two Travel Bursaries during their BBA degree. The bursary amount is £4,000 per semester (Sep-26 intake) or £2,500 per semester (Sep-27 intake) and applies to study-abroad semesters at our sister school, SPJ Global (Singapore, Dubai, or Sydney). You can go on an exchange for up to three semesters. However, only two semesters can be funded through the Travel Bursary. A third exchange semester would need to be self-funded
You can choose to stay in London for your entire degree, however, students who do not go on exchange will not receive a bursary.
To qualify for each bursary, you must:
    • Maintain at least 80% attendance for the term, and
    • Submit a reflective piece after each exchange
    • Have paid your tuition fees.

UK Home students will continue to have access to student finance while on exchange. The Travel Bursary is designed to help cover costs such as flights, visas, and contribute towards accommodation and living costs, making our multi-city model accessible.

  • Your tuition fees remain the same regardless of where you study. When studying abroad, you will need to consider and cover additional costs such as flights, visa fees, accommodation, food, and local transport. The Travel Bursary is designed to help subsidise these expenses, and we provide guidance from your first week to help you plan and budget for your time overseas.

Living costs vary significantly depending on your lifestyle, spending habits, and where you choose to live. As major global cities, Singapore, Dubai, Sydney (and London) can all be expensive - particularly when it comes to accommodation.

For a rough guide, Numbeo estimates the average monthly cost of living for a single person with a modest lifestyle, excluding rent, as:

  • Singapore: £851.80 per month
  • Dubai: £864.50 per month
  • Sydney: £864.40 per month

These estimates are based on general adult living costs rather than student-specific budgets, so actual expenses for students may be lower.

  • Undergraduate tuition fees for UK Home students for 2026 entry will be £9525 per year. Fees may change in future years, subject to government regulation. The UK Home fee may be uprated for inflation (RPI-X) each year. For the most up-to-date information, please visit our Fees, Scholarships & Travel Bursaries Page.
  • We offer Academic Scholarships for high-achieving students, with awards of up to 80% of tuition fees. To apply, you must first hold an offer to study at SPJ London. If your academic grades meet the scholarship criteria, you’ll be invited to a scholarship evaluation interview.
If awarded a scholarship, you will receive two offers:
    • one at 120 UCAS points for admission to the degree programme, and
    • one at the higher academic threshold required for the scholarship.

Scholarship offers are conditional on you achieving the grades stated on your application. To maintain your scholarship or cash bursary, you must have at least 80% attendance in scheduled classes and maintain an average mark of 60%.

  • For international students starting in September 2026 the annual tuition fees are as follows:
    • Year 1: £17,500
    • Year 2: £18,000
    • Year 3: £18,500
    • Year 4: £19,000

For the most up-to-date information, please visit our Fees Page.

  • Academic Merit Scholarships for international students are awarded at the discretion of the interview panel. Prospective applicants should complete an enquiry form to speak with one of our advisers, who can guide you through any potential scholarship eligibility based on your achieved or predicted grades, as well as the application process.
  • Yes. If you are a UK resident and meet the government’s eligibility criteria, you can apply for both a Tuition Fee Loan and a Maintenance Loan through the Student Loans Company. A Government Student Loan means you don’t need to pay your tuition fees upfront. You will only begin repaying your loan once you earn above the repayment threshold, and your monthly repayments are based on how much you earn, not how much you borrowed.
Information about eligibility and a step-by-step guide to applying can be found on the Student Finance website:
    gov.uk/get-undergraduate-student-loan
  • If you are eligible and have successfully applied for a student loan through the Student Loans Company, your funding continues throughout your time abroad. Student Finance is paid in instalments across the academic year, so some payments will be made while you are on exchange to our other campuses.
  • If you come from a low-income family, you may be eligible for additional funding to help cover some of the extra costs associated with studying abroad. This can include support towards travel and living expenses while overseas. More information can be found on the Student Finance website: gov.uk/travel-grants-students-england
  • The Travel Bursary is paid in two instalments to help you manage your expenses:
    • 50% is paid in October, allowing you to book flights and secure accommodation.
    • The remaining 50% is paid upon enrolment at your exchange campus to support your living costs while abroad.

This staged payment approach ensures you have financial support at the key moments of your study abroad experience.

While SPJ London does not currently have official sports teams, we reserve regular access to a local sports facilities where students can play a variety of sports. Additionally, we actively support student-led clubs, societies, and events through collaboration with student ambassadors and committees, helping foster a vibrant campus community.

At SPJ London, student life is an essential part of the BBA experience. We offer a wide range of Global Learning Activities, cultural trips, social events, sports, and wellbeing initiatives throughout the year. The school usually funds these, with students only covering personal travel and subsistence costs. Activities are also often take place across programmes and year groups, helping students build a strong network.

  • Global Learning Activities (GLA)
Delivered roughly every two weeks, these activities include industry visits (e.g., HSBC, Salesforce, Deliveroo), tours of major venues (e.g., Wembley Stadium, Bank of England), and experiential learning events. Activities are often shaped by student interests — for example, a recent visit to the F1 Exhibition at London ExCeL.
  • Cultural & Social Activities
We organise regular cultural and social trips to London attractions such as the London Eye, Tate Modern, Borough Market, and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Students have also attended West End shows, live music events, football matches, and social activities like boat parties, crazy golf, and climbing the O2.

SPJ London is committed to supporting all students with disabilities. We work closely with each student to develop an Individual Learning Support Plan tailored to their specific needs. This plan, created in collaboration with the Director of Student Experience, addresses any challenges and outlines reasonable adjustments to help ensure a successful academic journey.
The Student Services team can also provide information and guidance to students applying for the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) and those wishing to undergo a diagnostic assessment through Neurodiversity Achievement.

Admissions

Yes, we will use contextual information as part of our commitment to widening access, taking into account the context in which an applicant has achieved, or will achieve their qualifications, to provide a greater understanding of their potential to study with us.

When assessing your application, we will consider not only your qualifications but also other information on your UCAS application. Eligible applicants will receive a contextual offer, which is a reduction of up to two grades or 16 tariff points below our standard entry requirements.

To be eligible for a contextual offer you must be:

  • A UK-based student with Home-fee paying student; and
  • Applying for the first year of an undergraduate degree through UCAS.

You’ll also need to meet one of the following criteria

  • You are from an area of disadvantage
  • You have been in receipt of Free School Meals
  • Have experienced or is currently in care

We will automatically receive the relevant information, such as your postcode, through your UCAS application. It is therefore crucial that you declare any pertinent information in your application.
Please note that should the course be available in Clearing, we are not able to offer grade adjustments through this entry.

Should your predicted UCAS points be slightly below our standard entry requirements, we still encourage you to apply, as your application will still be considered. We will consider your application carefully and may invite you to an admissions interview—either online or in person—to get to know you beyond your grades. The interview panel will then recommend whether to make you an offer.

Our admissions process is designed to be transparent, fair, and accessible. At present, if you meet the academic requirements stated in your offer, you will be accepted onto the course. Interviews are required only for contextual, borderline, international, and scholarship applicants.
As demand for the school continues to grow, our admissions process may evolve in the future. At our sister school, SPJ Global, all BBA applicants are required to complete an interview and an entrance aptitude test — this may indicate how admissions for SPJ London could evolve over time.

Yes, we accept international qualifications. Prospective international applicants should complete an enquiry form and speak with an adviser, who can advise them on their eligibility and the application process.

Yes. We welcome transfer students who have already begun their studies at another institution. Transfers are assessed through a process called Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL), which involves reviewing your current transcript to understand the modules you have completed and your level of attainment.
To explore your transfer options, please complete an enquiry form and include details of your current programme along with your transcript.

  • We accept any Level 3 qualifications in any subject as long as they carry UCAS points. However, you must have a GCSE (or equivalent) in both Maths and English at Level 4/C.
  • EPQ, Core Maths, General Studies and Critical Thinking are all accepted.

If your UCAS personal statement isn’t tailored to Business, you’re welcome to submit a separate personal statement directly to us. After submitting your UCAS application, please email your new statement to admissionsug@spjain.ac.uk, and make sure to include your UCAS ID so we can match it to your application.

That’s absolutely fine. We require a total of 120 UCAS points from up to four grades. These can be a combination of qualifications, such as A-Levels and BTECs.

  • UK Home students should apply through UCAS.
    • Our institution code is J01 and the course code is BBA1.course
  • International students can apply directly via our online application portal.

Academic

At SPJ London, learning is an active, immersive, and technology-enhanced experience - never a passive one. Our classrooms are designed to help you learn best: through interaction, curiosity, and collaboration. We integrate Socratic-style discussion with cutting-edge educational technology to create dynamic learning environments where students question, challenge, and co-create knowledge. Through platforms such as our AI Tutor, students receive personalised, real-time feedback that extends learning beyond the classroom, supporting both independent reflection and collaborative problem-solving.

Our “learning loops” combine short, focused bursts of activity with reflective micro-tasks that deepen understanding and foster metacognitive growth - becoming more aware of how you learn, recognising your thinking patterns, evaluating what works for you, and adjusting your approach to improve your learning over time.
Faculty employ an agile teaching approach, continuously adapting session flow, digital tools, and assessment modes in response to live class dynamics.

Whether through AI-driven case simulations, interactive debates, data-powered decision labs, or virtual reality experiences, our pedagogy mirrors the fast-evolving world our students are preparing to lead.
At SPJ London, education is not about consuming knowledge — it’s about creating, testing, and transforming it through the intelligent use of technology and human insight.

Socratic-style teaching is a learning method based on dialogue, where students explore ideas by answering thoughtful questions rather than receiving information passively. Instead of memorising facts, you’re encouraged to think independently, explain your reasoning, challenge assumptions, and build stronger arguments.
At SPJ London, we use this approach because the modern business world requires curiosity, sharp questioning, and the ability to break complex problems into clear, actionable insights. Through Socratic learning, you practise analysing real situations, debating different viewpoints, and making well-reasoned decisions—skills that business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators rely on every day. It helps you become more confident in discussion, more rigorous in your thinking, and better prepared for the fast-changing challenges of university-level business studies and beyond.
For example, instead of giving students a definition of brand trust, the lecturer begins with real, relatable questions—such as why they trust brands like Nike or Apple, and whether they’d trust an unfamiliar brand in the same way. Students then explore deeper questions about what creates or breaks trust, who influences it, and how culture shapes it. Through debate and real-world examples, they end up constructing their own definition, rather than being handed one.

At SPJ London, assessment goes far beyond written exams — it’s about demonstrating capability through creation, collaboration, and critical thinking. Our approach mirrors the modern workplace: dynamic, project-driven, and technology-enabled.
Students engage in real-world assessments such as case simulations, digital storytelling, reflective journals, and data-driven projects that foster problem-solving, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking. Even quantitative and theory-based subjects are taught through interactive dashboards, negotiation role-plays, and design sprints, making learning applied and immersive.
A highlight of the programme is the Regional Immersion Project (RIP), where students tackle live business challenges with organisations across Dubai, Singapore, and London. From designing AI-powered marketing campaigns to conducting sustainability audits for local enterprises, students turn classroom learning into measurable business impact. In the final year, rather than a traditional dissertation, students undertake a Capstone Project, an experience that synthesises their entire BBA journey. Students will partner with industry clients (an Action Learning Project (ALP)) or pursue entrepreneurial ventures (Entrepreneurship Project), applying advanced analytics, strategic insight, and leadership skills to deliver actionable solutions.
By the time they graduate, every student leaves with a demonstrable portfolio of professional work — evidence of their ability to think, build, and lead in the fast-evolving world of business.

At SPJ London, we know that technology is far outpacing education. Industries are transforming, new roles are emerging, and the pace of change is relentless. We therefore encourage our students to use AI tools, such as ChatGPT, and we teach you to use them correctly and ethically. For our graduates to not just be work-ready, but future-ready, we recognise that AI is here to stay and have adopted AI tools into our learning and teaching. To complement our engaged teaching style and applied learning, ur patent-pending AI-ELT (Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Learning Tutor) is a proprietary AI-powered learning tool designed to provide students with personalised academic support across the entire learning journey.

Unlike general purpose AI chatbots, AI-ELT is trained specifically on the SP Jain Group’s business curriculum, with content mapped to course outlines, learning outcomes, and assessment rubrics. The tutor engages students through a Socratic-style dialogue, prompting them to think critically, apply concepts, and progressively build their understanding through interactive conversations.

Find out more on our website here: spjain.ac.uk/ai-elt

AI-ELT functions as an intelligent, always-available academic companion - 24/7, designed to complement faculty guidance by making high-quality learning support available to every student, regardless of the starting level.
Whether a student is preparing for class, refining a project, revising for exams, or rehearsing for interviews, AI-ELT adapts to their pace and needs, helping them move from uncertainty to clarity—one question at a time.

The BBA course is delivered over 18 contact hours per week, and is 100% in-person. The average contact hours per week for a Business degree at other institutions is 12 hours per week.

Your timetable will vary each year, so we can’t guarantee a set number of days. However, we aim to condense teaching into as few days as possible, for example, term 1 for the current BBA cohort is three days per week. This reduces travel time and gives you more flexibility for independent study, part-time work, and other commitments.

  • For students starting in September:
    • Term 1: Mid-September to mid-December
    • Term 2: Mid-January to the end of April
  • Teaching and assessments for each year are completed by the end of April, giving students around four months off in the summer (May–August).
  • This schedule is possible due to our teaching being condensed into 18 contact hours per week, compared with an average of 12 hours per week at other institutions. The extended summer break gives students better opportunities to undertake internships, either in Singapore, Dubai or Sydney following the end of their exchange, or back in London. Being available from May also means SPJ London students face less competition when applying for internships, as this is still term time for most other institutions.
  • Students who do not take an internship often use this time to gain full- or part-time employment and save up funds for future exchanges.
  • See the current Academic Calendar here.

As you progress through the BBA degree, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor your degree through specialisation pathways that align with your personal interests and career goals. During your first two years, you’ll study all core areas at an introductory level. This broad foundation allows you to explore each discipline before making a decision.

When you enter your third year, you may choose to specialise — though this is completely optional. Students can either focus on one pathway or mix and match electives across different areas, subject to minimum student numbers opting for each specialisation. If you complete all required electives within a single pathway, your degree title and transcript will be updated to reflect your specialisation.

Available specialisation pathways*:

  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Entrepreneurship & Innovation*
  • AI & Business Analytics*
  • Economics for the Digital & Sustainable Future*

Possible degree outcomes:

  • BBA (Hons) Bachelor of Business Administration
  • BBA (Hons) Bachelor of Business Administration with Finance
  • BBA (Hons) Bachelor of Business Administration with Marketing

A BSc (Bachelor of Science) in Business Management typically has a stronger emphasis on the quantitative and analytical side of business. It often includes more academically focused modules in areas such as data analysis, economics, statistical methods, business modelling, and research techniques. BSc programmes generally lean toward a more theoretical or technical study of business systems and processes.
A BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) offers a broader and more applied approach. Often described as the undergraduate equivalent of an MBA, a BBA includes the quantitative subjects you would find in a BSc, but also covers a wider range of functional areas—such as marketing, leadership, organisational behaviour, strategy, entrepreneurship, operations, and international business. The focus is on developing practical management skills, applied learning, and a holistic understanding of how all parts of a business work together.
In the UK, the BSc Business Management degree is more common, whilst in many countries (e.g., the US, Australia, UAE, Singapore), the BBA is the standard business degree.

Career

Career readiness is not an add-on at SPJ London — it’s built into the BBA journey from day one.
The Professional Readiness Programme (PRP) runs throughout the degree as scheduled, credit-bearing classes that directly contribute to students' final grades. Students begin with the Foundation Skills and Employability series, which covers topics like:

  • Digital professionalism
  • LinkedIn and personal branding
  • Workplace communication and presentation skills

As they progress through the degree, the programme expands to include:

  • Internship preparation and support

Every student is supported to translate classroom learning into meaningful career experience — ensuring that by graduation, they’re not just work-ready, but future-ready.

As a BBA graduate from SPJ London, you’ll have access to both the UK graduate job market and global employment opportunities—thanks to our multi-campus model and international connections.
For SPJ London specifically, our first set of graduates for the BBA degree programme are due to graduate in 2027. Graduates from our sister school, SPJ Global, have gone on to work across a wide range of sectors — including consulting, finance, media, marketing, technology, and entrepreneurship. Alumni have secured roles in start-ups, SMEs, multinational companies, and competitive graduate schemes, while some have chosen to launch their own businesses.

• We offer extensive, personalised support to help students secure internships. This includes one-to-one guidance through curriculum activities or with our Head of Careers or Head of Corporate Relations, as well as access to a wide range of resources and opportunities. Students benefit from:

  • Dedicated workshops and preparation seminars
  • Interview and aptitude test practice, including recorded mock interviews with feedback on both verbal and non-verbal communication
  • AI enabled interviewing, including AI Tutor Job Preparation Tool (JPT)
  • Application reviews and tailored advice on CVs and cover letters
  • Regular updates on known internship opportunities through our corporate networks

Across all our campuses, we have a dedicated Careers and Corporate Relations Team that not only shares opportunities but also helps students learn how to find and approach companies independently. In many cases, we also source or create internship opportunities specifically for SPJ London students.
While we provide comprehensive support, students ultimately complete the interviews themselves and must meet the employer’s requirements to secure the internship.

- As our London BBA degree programme is still in its early stages, we do not yet have full placement statistics. However, students have already secured roles across a range of industries. Examples include:

  • A project management internship with PathwayCTM, a social enterprise specialising in early careers
  • An internship with E N D Properties, a real estate company in Dubai, where the internship was also converted into a full-time role.
  • A ? internship with Virgin Music
  • A social media internship with IBS Intelligence

- Students from our other SPJ London programmes have gained internship experiences with organisations such as Genpact, IBS Intelligence, and Tata Consulting.

- Our BBA students at our sister school, SPJ Global, have interned at some of the world’s leading companies, including American Express, Apple, EY, Forbes, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, and Unilever.

Our approach is relationship-led, rather than based on formal partnerships, which are uncommon in practice within the business education sector. Through our dedicated Corporate Relations function, we hare building strong connections with employers across London, focusing on sourcing internships, arranging company visits, and facilitating meaningful industry engagement.

For example, we are currently working closely with HSBC, which has included student site visits and guest talks. We are also hosting an Executive Director from Standard Chartered for a careers insight session. In addition, we benefit from senior industry representation on our Board, including the Group General Counsel at Monzo Bank and the CFO and Executive Director at Santander UK, both of whom bring valuable employer insight and networks. You can find the full list of members of our Industry Advisory Board on our website here: spjain.ac.uk/governance/leadership

We also benefit from the expertise of our Corporate Relations lead, who began his career in recruitment for investment banks and asset managers, before moving into employer engagement roles at LSE and the University of Essex. In those roles, he worked with leading firms such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Schroders, BlackRock, Investec, Fidelity, and Vanguard — experience that directly informs our employer engagement strategy at SPJ London.
