Exchange semesters are completely optional. You don't need to decide when you apply; you choose each exchange after you've started your studies.
Travel bursaries to help you go
Studying abroad shouldn't depend on what you can afford. UK Home students can access up to £6,000 in travel bursaries across their degree for up to two exchange semesters, that's £3,000 per semester towards flights, visas and living costs. If you want to exchange for a third semester, this will have to be self-funded.
There's no separate application, and it's a bursary, not a loan, so there's nothing to pay back.

Make your degree your own: five specialisation pathways
You'll experience every side of business in your first two years, then shape your own path from year three: choose a specialisation pathway, or stay broad by mixing electives across them. Don't worry if you don't know your direction yet; most students don't when they start. Complete all the electives in one specialisation and it's named on your degree title and transcript, so employers see your specialism at a glance.
Year 1
Explore and discover
Year 2
Knowledge and insights
Year 3
Expertise and focus
Year 4
Get career ready
Develop a strong understanding of global financial markets and corporate finance. You’ll explore financial modelling, investment analysis and risk management, with exposure to fintech, sustainable finance and environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations. Practical simulations and data driven case studies help you understand how modern financial systems operate.
Learn how brands grow and connect with audiences in a digital-first world. This pathway blends creative thinking with data-led decision-making, covering brand strategy, digital platforms and consumer insights. You’ll explore how emerging tools support marketing performance while keeping human creativity at the centre.
Turn ideas into viable business solutions. You’ll apply design thinking, lean start-up methods and innovation frameworks to develop, test and scale new ventures. Practical challenges, pitch simulations and start-up collaboration help you build confidence as an entrepreneur or innovation leader.
Examine how global markets, policy and sustainability shape economic decision-making. You’ll study behavioural economics, digital trade and environmental, social and governance (ESG)-driven development, linking theory to real-world challenges through simulations, data analysis and international case studies.
Learn how data and analytics support smarter business decisions. This pathway focuses on using analytical tools to inform strategy across areas such as marketing, operations and human resources (HR). You’ll develop the ability to interpret data, evaluate insights and understand how technology supports managerial judgement rather than replacing it.
Specialisations and electives run subject to minimum student numbers. Final module options may vary.
How you’ll learn and be assessed
Teaching is question-led and hands-on, in smaller interactive classes where you're known by name and take part in every session, not lectures to hundreds. Assessment mirrors the modern workplace: live business projects, case studies, presentations and group work, with written exams making up as little as 5-10% of your grade, depending on your specialisation. A further 15% comes from class participation, not attendance, but prepared, meaningful engagement: asking and answering questions, contributing to discussions and challenging ideas, building the confidence and communication you'll use at work. In your final year, a capstone project puts everything into practice, often with a real client.

An award-winning AI tutor, built by the SP Jain Group
AI-ELT (AI-Enabled Learning Tutor) is a patent-pending AI tutor platform developed in-house. Trained on your business curriculum and mapped to your learning outcomes and assessment rubrics, it gives you personalised one-to-one support throughout your degree. Ask it to explain a concept you didn't follow, test yourself before an assessment, or practise for an internship interview, any time of day.
It supports your learning between classes; it doesn't replace your teachers, and you'll still learn from academics who know you by name.
Learning beyond the classroom
Global Learning Activities take your learning out of the classroom and into the cities where you're studying. Guest lectures and workshops bring in outside expertise, industry visits take you inside real businesses, and cultural experiences and social events help you get to know each city and each other. They run throughout your degree, in London and across our global campuses, usually at no extra cost beyond basic travel and subsistence.
